Principles of designing an office

When designing a new office space Ruslin take the following three principles into account: Functionality, visually pleasing to the eye and the comfort level. Functionality is ranked the highest of these items. The tasks that are handled by the employees on a daily basis will dictate the office design and layout. Designs and proposals are put forward by Ruslin to the client and a analysis of the company organogram is completed. These proposed designs need to be evaluated and checked by the client before implementation to ensure the perfect office space is created and the brief is met. Once the layout is agreed apon, we then look at ensuring that the office is visually appealing. When designing the office space we take the needs of the employees into account, as they need to be happy coming to work and need to have all the necessary equipment and tools at their diposal to perform their job function. We also look at out clients customers and take their needs into account, and design a space in which they feel welcome and enjoy coming to the company. We create the clients vision, through the use of design details, colours and the placing of specified furniture. The last principle that we take into consideration when designing an office space is the comfort level. Comfort is not only about the furniture that is installed but also the colouring that is used. Colours need to be carefully choosen based on the company image and should be inviting and soothing to all people using this office space. Decorating the office
